No ! He was failing Brahma the Michael, trying to prove that he is still in the race of becoming..if not the Vishnu..then a Super Creator ! He was under false and stupid confusion that God is pleased by blood and so he will exalt after crucifixion !
He not only set the pattern for his not being able to be lifted up as human ( resurrection was his inherent Michael privilege and not accomplishment )..the other two classes to perish ARE..one..who do not believe in Christ ( not Jesus the Christ ) who is love aspect of God..two..who believe that Jesus was son of God ! Muslims are clear about the second aspect..the first aspect is warning to atheists..I do not suppose that low level ignorant atheists like those of Vietnam are sinners..but educated persons like Putin, Hu, Communists of India may take the last warning about the first aspect..!
